四川，地处中国西南腹地，长江上游。其西部是青藏高原，东部为四川盆地，数亿年的地质运动，沧桑巨变，造就了瑰丽险峻的巴蜀风光。四川，正位于中国民族东西交融、南北过渡的走廊，多年来既有利于揉合吸收东西民族之长，又是南北文化交流的要冲，长江黄河两大流域文明的精华，哺育出博大奇绝的巴蜀文化。四川现有国土面积48.5万平方公里，人口8750多万。辖21个市（州）、181个县（市、区）。

Sichuan is located in Southwestern China, along the upper stream of the Yangtze River. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is located in the Western part of Sichuan, and the Sichuan Basin is in the Eastern part of Sichuan. Millons of years of crustal movements and historical events resulted in the beautiful scenery of Sichuan Province. Sichuan is located in the communication corrider between the different races and ethnic groups in all parts of China. It has absorbed the essence of the various cultures and is a melting pot of different cultures, creating its unique Ba-Shu Culture. Sichuan occupies a land of 48.5 cubic kilometres, and a population of about 87 500 000 spread over 21 cities and 181 counties.
